FMS Guidance Hosts Career Fair
Fishburne Military School’s Department of Guidance and College Counseling hosted its annual Career Fair at FMS. Local professionals from a variety of disciplines were invited to campus to meet with small groups of interested Cadets. Professions represented at this year’s Career Fair ranged from Engineers, Film Producers, Journalists, and Scientists to Law Enforcement and the Military.

Caissons CyberPatriots Claim 2nd Place in National Round
The Fishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) CyberPatriots Team’s performance earned it a spot in the National Semifinal Round, during which it outscored 146 other teams to win 2nd place overall among the Army JROTC teams in the Silver Tier of the All Service Division. In all, over 5,500 teams registered to compete in this year’s CyberPatriot X.

FMS Announces Winter Athletics Awards
Three times each school year the Fishburne Military School Caissons come together in Lawton Chapel to celebrate the successes of their athletic teams and to recognize individual efforts and achievements. The awards presentations are then followed by a special dinner prepared for the athletes. Cadet Matthew Farrar ’18 (Waynesboro, VA) was presented with the Hogg Award.

Fishburne’s Farrar Claims VISAA 120 pound State Championship, Eyes Nationals
Waynesboro, VA — No matter what, Fishburne Military School Cadet and stand-out wrestler Matthew Farrar (Waynesboro, VA) will end his high school career with a coveted State Championship and the title VISAA Lightweight Wrestler of the Year. Now he’s on to Nationals. Joining Farrar at Nationals will be fellow Fishburne Cadets Levi Smith (Fayetteville, NC) and Silvio Dionisotti (Sudbury, MA).

FMS Drill Teams Excel in Richmond
Richmond, VA — The Fishburne Military School Drill Teams made the trek to the Huguenot High School Drill Meet in Richmond, VA and succeeded in adding to the growing number of trophies amassed during the 2017-2018 school year. FMS Wrestlers Finish 2nd in VIC, Sending Nine to State Championships
Fishburne Military School Wrestling finished another strong conference appearance by taking 2nd place in VIC and sending nine to the State Championships. Last year the Caissons went on to a top-10 performance in the state tournament and were the highest finishing DII school in Virginia. FMS will send nine wrestlers to the state tournament at Woodberry Forest in Orange, VA this Friday and Saturday.

FMS Cyber Patriots Advance to Semi-Finals and Take 2nd in Virginia
A team of cadets from Fishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) recently concluded an exceptional round of competition in the tenth season of CyberPatriot – the Air Force Association’s National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. Established in 2009, CyberPatriot is designed to excite, educate, and motivate students toward careers in cyber security and other STEM disciplines critical to our nation’s future.

FMS Rocketeers Zeroing In on Nationals
Monterey, VA — The Fishburne Military School Rocketeers braved a cold day on Saturday to launch their Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) rockets at the Valley AeroSpace Team (VAST) launch site Monterey, Virginia. “In fact, one of the launches was a perfect 800 ft with a perfect flight time of 43 seconds. We have never done that before. There can be no higher score in TARC,” noted CPT Galloway.

Fishburne Military School Announces January Awards
Fishburne Military School officially announced its monthly Cadet Awards winners for the month of January. Cadet award winners are selected by a board of Cadet Officers, and is approved by the Commandant of Cadets. A Cadet award winner is selected based upon his academic, military and community achievements throughout the previous month.

The Fishburne Military School Office of Alumni Affairs has released the official schedule of events for Alumni Weekend 2018. Alumni Weekend will take place April 27-29, 2018 and is widely anticipated to be the FMS Alumni Event of the Year. Alumni Weekend at Fishburne Military School is packed with events and activities to satisfy event the most ardent FMS fanatic.
