Fishburne Military School Golf Hosts Holy Cross and Grace Christian

Waynesboro, VA – The Fishburne Military School Golf team played host at Waynesboro Country Club last evening with a match against teams from Holy Cross and Grace Christian School. It was a perfect day for Golf and he team managed to show improvement once again by shaving a point from their previous score.

Fishburne Military School JV Lacrosse Wins Big

The Caissons won 16-7. Scoring were Adam Bowles (Sewickley, PA) with six, Bryson Overton (Sanford, NC) with four, Benjamin Corsentino (Pfafftown, NC) with three, Jesse Uloghobui (Chesapeake, VA) and Timothy Pack (McLean, VA) with one each, and Gavin Flanagan (Centreville, VA) with one. Goalie Stacy Wood (Waynesboro, VA) saved nine.

Fishburne Military School LAX Shows Skill and Sportsmanship

Waynesboro, VA –  The Fishburne Military School Caissons Lacrosse team kicked off a busy and promising week last Tuesday when they traveled to Woodstock, VA to face Massanutten Military Academy. The Caissons next hosted two local regional lacrosse clubs at Anderson Field. The Caissons ended the week with three solid victories.

Fishburne Military School Rocketeers Close Best Season Yet

Waynesboro, VA –The Fishburne Military School Rocketeers had their final launch of the school year last Saturday after a good year of designing, testing, and launching rockets for the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC). “Overall, it was a good year and the closest we’ve come yet to nationals,” noted Rocket Club Advisor and Sponsor, CPT Tom Galloway.

Fishburne Welcomes Another Local Legend to its Coaching Staff

Waynesboro, VA — The Fishburne Military School Athletic Department is proud to announce the addition of Coach Tom Goforth as the school’s new head football coach. The first game of the “Goforth Era” will be August 31 at Roanoke Catholic School. The Caissons’ first home game will be September 28 against Randolph-Macon.

Coach Waters Announces Wrestling Camp Lineup

Under Waters, the 2017 Fishburne Military School Caissons earned the Division II State Championship, sent 9 wrestlers to the State Championships, and 3 to the National Championships. Waters is among the state’s winningest wrestling coaches.  He has coached 12 state champs, 22 state runners up, and has been named coach of the year seven times.

Young LAX Team Shows Early Promise

Waynesboro, VA — The Fishburne Military School Lacrosse team kicked off their season last week with a pair of games against tough rivals. It was a young Caissons squad that took the field on Tuesday, as the Caissons faced Roanoke Catholic in a light drizzle with the temperature hovering just below forty.

Fishburne Military School Announces Cadet Awards for February

Fishburne Military School officially announced its monthly Cadet Awards winners for the month of February. Cadet Dylan Bell (Staunton, VA) was named Cadet of the Month. Cadet Captain Derek Prestes (Glen Allen, VA) was named Cadet Officer of the Month. Cadet Staff Sergeant Myles Hurlbut (Thousand Oaks, CA) was named Cadet NCO of the month. Band Co. earned top Company.

Rifle Team Takes 2nd in State

Waynesboro, VA — As the three-time defending state champion the Caissons of FMS hosted the Virginia Military School Rifle League championships at the indoor range on Fishburne’s Waynesboro campus. Although the Caissons worked extremely hard over the weeks building up to the championships, the challengers from Massanutten Academy came up with the winning hand this year.
