Fishburne Military School JV Squad Tops Augusta Wolves
Waynesboro, VA — The Fishburne Military School JV Lacrosse squad traveled to nearby Stuarts Draft this Tuesday, April 10th to play local regional JV club Augusta Wolves.
The day was sunny and mild on a grassy field. The Fishburne Military School Caissons won 16-7. Scoring were midfielder Adam Bowles (Sewickley, PA) with six, attackman Bryson Overton (Sanford, NC) with four, midfielder Thomas Vallenta (Great Falls, VA) with three, midfielders Jesse Uloghobui (Chesapeake, VA) and Timothy Pack (McLean, VA) with one each, and defender Gavin Flanagan (Centreville, VA) with one. Goalie Stacy Wood (Waynesboro, VA) saved nine.
The Fishburne Military School Varsity Lacrosse team will play Massanutten Military Academy at home on Anderson Field at 5:30pm on Thursday, April 12th–marking their second meeting.
JV will replay the Augusta Wolves at home on Anderson Field at 5:30pm on Tuesday, April 17th–for their third meeting this season.
Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built on the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS has been designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation that is accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
