Tennis Team loses a tough one against Blue Ridge

Although the tennis team has experienced a difficult go of things (0-5), the squad continues to stay competitive. Aided by the team mascot, “Stella” the Golden Retriever (Coach’s dog), the team took to the courts on Friday afternoon (4/9) for a match up against VIC opponent Blue Ridge.

Despite all the matches being closely contested, Fishburne ended up on the losing end 2-7. Max Foetsch led the way for the Caissons with an excellent win at #1 singles. Max showcased his high caliber tennis skills and was a pleasure to watch. Vying for the Caisson Hustle Award, Charlie Male #3 singles, once again frustrated his opponent almost to the point of collapse with his highly consistent ground strokes.

The tennis team plays the Miller School on Tuesday (home – 4:30pm) and Thursday at Massanutten (4:30pm).
