Soccer vs. Blue Ridge

Fishburne Varsity Soccer hosted Blue Ridge at Anderson Field on a warm, sunny day yesterday. The opponents struck in the 1st, 3rd, and 27th minutes of the first half. Team Captain Dylan Vaughan reciprocated with a goal in the 13th off of a 40-yard direct. Keeper Derek Prestes had twelve saves for the half, while the squad took six shots and eighteen steals. The opponents struck again in the 72nd minute of the second. Prestes stopped an additional nineteen, and the Caissons made eight more shots and ten steals. Fishburne travels to Woodstock on Monday to play Massanutten at 4:30pm.
