PG team opens with Media Day

Think of it as Midnight Madness in the middle of the day – Mid-Afternoon Madness, maybe.

The nationally-ranked Fishburne Military School postgrad basketball team is opening its annual Media Day on Friday, Oct. 28, to the local community.

The event begins at 3 p.m. with a slam-dunk contest. Local youngsters who make it out to the event will also have a chance to take part in on-the-court games and contests with the PG players.

 

Schedule of Events

3:00pm – 3:15pm   Introductions

3:15pm – 3:30pm PG Slam Dunk Contest

3:30pm – 3:45pm Cadets’/Kids’ Games
Put on uniform and spin and make a full-court layup
Free-throw contest
Full-court, full-speed layup

3:45pm – 4:00pm Presentations
Picture and Vest – Col. Zinser (presented by Coach Huckaby and team captains)
Picture & Gift – Susan Johnson (presented by Coach Huckaby and team captains)
Adidas shirts – board members (presented by Coach Huckaby and team captains)
Autographed team photo – Ted Maroney

4:00pm – 4:15pm Cadets’/Kids’ Games
Dribble musical chairs
Three-point shot for a McDonald’s gift card
Two-ball dribbling contest
Ten-person dribble tag
Half-court shot for grand prize

4:15pm – 4:30pm PG basketball team contests
Three-point shooting
Partner three-point shooting contest (pg and a cadet)
