On the rise: Darley sets sights high
Will Darley has been blowing up on the recruiting trail since shining on the summer circuit.
Darley, a 6’7″, 180-pounder swingman from Timonium, Md., has had offers from LIU-Brooklyn, Florida Gulf Coast, Lipscomb and Lafayette, with a visit to Rider upcoming.
But for now, the focus is on winning a national championship at Fishburne Military School.
“Coach Huck always says the goal is to be the number-one team in the country. I think that’s a high goal to set, but a good goal to set,” said Darley, a three-point marksman who is a tough matchup for perimeter defenders with his size giving him good looks over defenders.
Darley decided on a postgrad year at Fishburne to let the recruiting process play itself out a little more.
“I figured if I could come to a program like Fishburne that’s continuously sent kids out to high-level programs that it would be a good opportunity to come and grow both as a basketball player and as a person,” Darley said.
