FMS wrestling drops heartbreaker to Roanoke Catholic

Fishburne gave a tough Roanoke Catholic wrestling team all it could handle before falling 44-33 Tuesday night.

FMS, now 9-3 on the season, took a 33-32 lead with a pin by Novak Porter at 195, but gave up forfeits at 220 and 285.

Richard Swift put in a game effort after moving up to compete at 120 against a Roanoke Catholic wrestler currently ranked #4 in the state in that weight class. Swift, a first-year wrestler, avoided being pinned in losing by technical fall.

Andres Lenardson earned a second-period pinfall at 113 over another ranked Roanoke Catholic wrestler.
