FMS Key Club Rallies for a Cause
The Fishburne Military School Key Club traveled to Doswell, Va, on Saturday, for the annual Capital District Key Club Fall Rally held at Kings Dominion. Eight of the club’s members along with the Division 5B Lt. Governor, Logan Amico, also from FMS, attended the event.
Hundreds of Key Clubbers representing VA, MD, DE and D.C. gathered together in the King’s Dominion Theatre to learn more about their District projects and the Kiwanis Family’s international project – The Eliminate Project. Fishburne’ Key Club, along with Key Club international, announced the launch of The Eliminate Project nearly one year ago.
Throughout Fishburne’s upcoming Parents’ Weekend, Key Clubbers will be maintaining orange UNICEF donation boxes and raising funds, through concessions, for the cause.
Speakers were the Capital District Governor, Garrett Fraino, and Vice Chairman of the Eliminate Project and former Capital District Governor, Jeff Wolfe. The Key Club International President, Raeford Penney, was also in attendance. After a morning of informative meetings, Key Club members were able to enjoy the afternoon (although rainy) in the park.
