FMS Announces 1st Post-Grad Hoops Tryouts

The “swish” you’ll be hearing this weekend is FMS ‘hoopster’ recruits competing to make our first Post-Graduate Basketball Team! The other noise audible after Sunday will be Fork Union and Massanutten “shaking in their high tops.” Details of Fishburne’s new Post-Graduate Basketball program will begin to emerge this Sunday as we host 40-50 potential team members during tri-outs here in Waynesboro. Everyone at FMS is incredibly excited to watch the program develop under Coach Huckaby and his staff.

A Post-Graduate Basketball program has a large number of benefits to any private school. The additional name exposure will help generate increased admission inquires, but our primary goal for the short-term is to provide a world class opportunity for great student athletes looking to prepare for college basketball programs at Division 1 schools such as UVA or Virginia Tech. We are anxious to fill the stands with very excitable cadets come November.
