Treavor Norman (Waynesboro, VA) pitched a no-hitter for the Fishburne Military School Caissons on Friday night

After a venue change and a two-and-a-half hour drive, the Fishburne Military School (VA) Caissons still had to wait until the 5th inning of their game against VIC foe Carlisle before scoring runs. Fishburne would eventually win by shutting out Carlisle 5-0.

Once the pitchers duel ended, the Caissons’ junior ace Treavor Norman (Waynesboro, VA) continued his no-hitter through all seven innings, striking out 15.

The offense used the last 3 innings to rack up 5 runs on Carlisle, improving to 3-2 on the season. The Caissons are back in action this afternoon (4/13) as they travel to Blue Ridge for a 4:30 matchup.


Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program. Boasting a 100% college-acceptance rate for the past 10 consecutive years, FMS has also been designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academics. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
