Fishburne Wrestlers Handle Blue Ridge

The Caissons Rolled again last night. As the team made the 1 hour trip over to The Blue Ridge School, they stepped up and did an outstanding job scoring a 66 – 12 victory against another VIC team.

This victory brings the team’s record to 19 – 3 with just one dual match to go. That will be this Thursday down in Roanoke against a very tough Roanoke Catholic Team. These 2 teams finished last season in 2nd and 3rd place at the VIC Championship. FMS chased them all day but did not catch up. This will be a huge showdown just 2 days before the VIC Championship this coming weekend.

The key highlights from last night were Kyle Hale and Anders Lenardson who both remain UNBEATEN in the VIC and are now just one match away from locking up a TOP SEED in the VIC Tournament this weekend.

Then to top that off Allen Davis in his own special style once again picked up a reversal pin and has all but secured the TOP SEED in the VIC as he has yet to lose a match in the VIC this Season. In his last 2 matches he has faced 2 of the top 8 ranked kids in his weight class, last week winning with a pin over LCA who as of today is now ranked #8, and Allen is Ranked #6. Tonight saw him take on the #5 5anked kid at his weight and it resulted in another pin. Great job (this time he kept all his teeth too).
