Fishburne Military School Golf Hosts Holy Cross and Grace Christian

Fishburne Military School Golfers Welcome Spring with Three-Team Match

Waynesboro, VA – The Fishburne Military School Golf team played host at Waynesboro Country Club last evening with a match against teams from Holy Cross and GraceFishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) Golf Team Christian School.

It proved to be a tough afternoon for the Caissons, but the team managed to show improvement once again by shaving a point from their previous score. It was a beautiful afternoon for golf and FMS maintained their composure and still had a good time.

The scores were 221 for Holy Cross, 208 for Grace Christian, and 252 for the FMS Caissons.

Fishburne Military School’s Andy Hawley (Twinsburg, OH) came in low for the Caissons with a 47. He was followed by Quinn DeLorenzo (Jefferson, ME) with 65, Micah Reid (Charlottesville, VA) with 68, Ryan Manning (Charlottesville, VA) with 72, and Austin Haug (Culpeper, VA) with a 72.  The best individual score was from Holy Cross with an impressive 35.

The Fishburne Military School Caissons will next face off with Afton Christian School at Waynesboro Golf and Games on Thursday.


Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built on the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS has been designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation that is accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
