Fishburne JROTC Teams Come Up Big in Buckingham
Fishburne Military School’s JROTC Drill and Academic Teams continued to make a name for themselves in 4th Brigade as they travelled to Buckingham, Virginia on Saturday to compete in the Buckingham Drill Meet. The Caissons, a dominant force among the US Army 4th Brigade’s JROTC units, came home with seven new trophies for their school.
The Citizenship award was given to entire team for outstanding demeanor, sportsmanship, and comportment throughout the meet.
Color Guard took First Place, commanded by 1SG Amico included SSG Petrelles, CPL Long, PFC Dolfi.
The Academic Bowl Teams took LET 1 First Place, led by, SSG Wright, J. and LET 4 First Place, led by 2LT Craan. The FMS Academic Bowl team has also been named as one of 15 teams (out of 316) in 4th Brigade to compete for the National Championship at the end of April. The Caissons also took Second Place for Unarmed Platoon, commanded by SFC Justen as well as awards for Inspection (commanded by 2LT Craan) and Individual Armed Drill (commanded by Lupone and Wright, J).

Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an army JROTC program.
