Waynesboro, VA — The Fishburne Military School Caissons had to travel for the third straight week after two tough losses against Roanoke Catholic and North Cross.
Both Fishburne and Quantico were coming off of 0-2 starts, so last Friday night was a battle of wills. Fishburne won that battle outright.
Fishburne’s defense smothered Quantico’s first offensive drive, holding the Warriors to -6 yards. On Fishburne’s first offensive assualt, Tyler Derozen’s (Staunton, VA) combined 65 yards, including a ten yard touchdown run, put FMS on top 7-0. This set the tone for the rest of the game, and with Christain Towler’s (Waynesboro, VA) combined 81 yards and two touchdowns and Dylan Gladhill’s (New Market, MD) 74 yards and a touchdown, Fishbunre soundly defeated Quantico, 28-0. The Caissons hope to take this momentum into the next and first home game against Randolph-Macon Academy.
