Fishburne Military School’s Harris Starts and Finishes Baseball Opener

Fishburne Military School Baseball opens season with big winStuarts Draft, VA — Fishburne Military School Junior Wally Harris (Waynesboro, VA) was the starting pitcher for the Caissons season opener when they hosted St. Anne’s Belfield (StAB) on St. Patrick’s Day. It was StAB’s seventh game.

Harris was followed by senior Tyree Scott (Staunton, VA), senior Timothy Arndt (Fairfax Station, VA), and junior Dylan Bell (Staunton, VA) on the mound.

Bell forced a crucial third out in the 7th inning with StAB threatening to widen their 3-2 lead.

With one out and senior Tyler Allen (Weyers Cave, VA) on first, Harris hit a home run to right field. The walk-off homer gave the Caissons a 1-0 record and a valuable 4-3 win over a Division 1 team.

Coach Brandon Mawyer and the Caissons have their first VIC game when they travel to North Cross on March 30 for a 5:00 game.
