Fishburne Military School Baseball Crushes EMHS

Harrisonburg, VA — Fishburne Military School’s Varsity Baseball defeated Eastern Mennonite 11-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Wally Harris, who drove in four Fishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) Baseballrunners. Harris drove in runs on a double in the first and a double in the fifth.

The Fishburne Military School Caissons grabbed an early lead, scoring on a double by Wally Harris and a single by Timothy Arndt in the first inning.

Eastern Mennonite came back in the bottom to the first inning to tie the game, but that was a close to a W as they would come against Fishburne.

Fishburne Military School took the lead for good with four runs in the fifth inning. Harris doubled off of Jacob Yoder, driving in two runs and Arndt singled off of Yoder, driving in one run.

The Caissons scored five runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Harris, a single by Matthew Farrar, and a triple by Nick Broughman.

Broughman earned the win for the Caissons. He tossed two innings, allowing one run, two hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Fishburne Military School had 13 hits in the game. Holden, Sandridge, Broughman, and Harris each collected multiple hits for the Caissons. Broughman and Harris each drove in four runs to lead Fishburne.

Fishburne Military School didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tyler Dolin had 13 chances in the field, the most on the team.
