Key Club Gives Santa a Hand

Over 100 local children will have a brighter Christmas this year thanks to Santa’s helpers at UVA and FMS. The University of Virginia’s CKI, a part of the Kiwanis family, and Fishburne Military School’s Key Club joined forces over the weekend to host a “Breakfast with Santa” in Charlottesville.

Caissons Help to Ring in Holidays

Monday evening, drill teams and staff at Fishburne Military School traveled to downtown Staunton for their annual participation in the Staunton Christmas parade. For many years Fishburne has maintained its presence in the public eye through participation in parades and ceremonies such as the Staunton Veterans day parade and Christmas parade.

“Real Men Bleed” – FMS Sponsors Blood Drive

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Cadets at Fishburne Military School are sending off some gifts that others will truly be thankful to receive.

Fishburne Military School’s M. Frank Wooten chapter of the National Honor Society hosted a fall blood drive today, Wednesday 14 November, from 9am until 2pm. The blood drive, which took place in Fishburne’s Hobby-Hudgins Hall, was in support of the Virginia Blood Services

Fishburne Military School Raiders Win Harrisonburg Meet

The Fishburne Military School Raiders team took home another 1st Place victory on Saturday when they traveled to Harrisonburg, VA for the Blue Streak Raiders Meet. The Caissons, competing against six other JROTC Raiders teams and ten teams overall, brought yet another trophy home to Waynesboro.

FMS pays homage to veterans

Veterans serving in war, serving in peace, all have made America safe. “The peacetime veteran serves to deter aggression, a role as important as the combat veteran’s sacrifices in fighting aggression,” said Cadet Lt. Col. Jeeyhung Jung, the battalion commander of the Fishburne Military School Corps of Cadets, at the school’s Founders Day/Veterans Day ceremony on Friday.

FMS Fields First Ever CyberPatriots Team

Saturday afternoon, November 3rd, a group of four tech savvy cadets at Fishburne Military School gathered to become the school’s first participants in a CyberPatriot competition. The CyberPatriot program is organized by the Air Force Association, and aims to educate students on the security protocols and operating systems for modern computers.

FMS Hosting Founder’s Day Brunch for Alumni, Friends and Family

On Sunday 11 November Fishburne’s Sonneborn Dining Hall will open its doors to Alumni, Friends and Family for a very special opportunity to celebrate Founder’s Day on campus. Brunch will be served from Noon until 1:30 for all those who wish to enjoy a pleasant meal and converse about all things FMS.

FMS Color Guard Performs at Invitation of Former Army Chief of Staff

The Fishburne Military School Color Guard, following on the heels of a 1st Place finish at the “Blue Streak” Invitational JROTC Drill Meet, traveled to Washington, DC at the invitation of former Army Chief of Staff General Gordon R. Sullivan, USA, Ret. in order to perform the opening ceremony for the Association of the United States Army’s Annual Meeting and Exposition.
