Fishburne Military School Announces Dec/Jan Cadet Awards

Recipients of these Cadet awards are nominated by their peers from within each company and then selected by an Honor Board of Cadet Officers following a series of questions designed to test each nominee’s knowledge of Fishburne and American History, US Government, and JROTC History and Protocol.

Four FMS Cadets Earn Academy Nominations

This January, Fishburne Military School (VA) Headmaster and Senior Army Instructor officially announced that four seniors from the FMS have earned nominations to attend United States Service Academies. Cadet Colby Gorog to attend the United States Military Academy as well as to attend United States Naval Academy; Cadet Reid D’Amico to attend the United States Military Academy; Cadet Diego Dura Ballester to attend the United States Naval Academy; and Cadet Daniel May to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Fishburne Military School Visits Monticello

CPT Woods’ American Government class visited Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello for a class field trip. For over a month, students had analyzed various primary documents (such as the Magna Carta, Petition of Rights and English Bill of Rights, along with the works of Enlightened thinkers of Hobbes, Locke, and Montesquieu) that had influenced Thomas Jefferson’s works.

Fishburne Military School honors Navy alums in special ceremony

Charles E. Biele Jr. was reminiscing with two fellow Fishburne Military School (VA) alums this past weekend about their experiences at FMS and at the United States Naval Academy. “I wouldn’t have gone to the Naval Academy, I wouldn’t have had a Navy career, if it weren’t for Fishburne,” said Biele, who retired from the Navy in 1987.
