Cadets Attend Virginia Tech Leadership Conference
Two Juniors and one Senior from Fishburne Military School will be gaining some valuable skills and insights this week in Blacksburg, VA. Each year, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets invites the senior military colleges, military academies, and high school military academies in Virginia to their Leadership Conference. This is the fourth year that Fishburne Military School has participated in this event.

Best of the Best Raiders Competition Announced
US Army Cadet Command’s 4th Brigade officially announced that the Fishburne Military School Raiders will compete in the Brigade Championships hosted at UNC Charlotte. The Championships, dubbed “Best of the Best”, are tentatively scheduled for April 26, 2015 and will pit the top 11 Raider teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, DC.

Spring Success Deadline Draws Near
Fishburne Military School (VA) announced its popular “Spring Success” program for 2015. “Spring Success” was developed several years ago in order to aid students who have fallen behind on studies in their current schools and need an immediate change of program in order to salvage their academic year.

Fishburne Cadet on to National Essay Competition
Cadet Hunter Jennings, a Senior from Riva, MD, has been selected as a contestant in this year’s JROTC National Essay Contest. Cadet Jennings’ essay was selected from among all the 4th Brigade’s entries and is now on its way to the JROTC National Essay Contest judges. 4th Brigade, in which Fishburne’s Corps of Cadets operates, consists of 318 schools throughout West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Waynesboro Teen Named Cadet of the Month at Fishburne Military School (VA)
Fishburne Military School’s Superintendent, COL Gary R. Morrison (VA), Fishburne Class of 1981, noted, “This young man has shown tremendous growth and leadership potential over the course of the last month. His efforts should serve as an example to all of us that hard work and focus are the true keys to success. Fishburne Announces Winston-Salem, NC Alumni Social
Fishburne Military School’s Office of Alumni Affairs has announced that there will be an Alumni Social at the Piedmont Club in Winston-Salem, NC on Wednesday, March 18th. The event, which begins at Noon, will be hosted by Bill Porter, Class of 1954…”Alumni Socials provide our Fishburne Alumni with a unique chance to re-connect, bond, network and really enjoy an afternoon of brotherhood.”

Fishburne Military School Hosts Annual Career Fair
Each year, Fishburne Military School’s Headmaster and Guidance Director organize a Career Fair for the Corps of Cadets. The fair, which brings local business people and community leaders onto campus for a series of informal presentations regarding their careers, has become increasing popular with Cadets over the years.

The JROTC at Fishburne Military School is on a short list of elite programs in the Mid-Atlantic competing at the Best of the Best 4th Brigade Championships in Hickory, N.C., this weekend.

FMS Drill Teams Named to Best of Best
Fishburne Military School’s Senior Army Instructor, LTC Robert A. Hunt, USA (ret), announced yesterday that the FMS Color Guard, Exhibition Drill Team and Regulation Drill teams will be attending the Best of the Best 4th Brigade Championship in Hickory, NC. on 20 February. Only 3 of 318 schools in 4th Brigade qualified both their Raiders and Drill Teams for BoB championships. The FMS Raiders qualified for BoB in November.
