The Boys Are Back In Town

Waynesboro, VA — Fishburne Military School came roaring to life this week as the Cadet Corps began returning to Waynesboro. Over 60 Cadets have taken their place in the ranks of the 2018 Training Detail, while more than 30 arrived for Football, over 20 reported for Soccer Camp and another dozen came for Cross Country. New Cadets arrive this weekend.

Fishburne Military School Named to Top Schools List

For the fifth time in six years Fishburne Military School has been named to Virginia Living Magazine’s list of Best Colleges and Schools in Virginia, which recognizes schools for their “excellence and innovation”. Of the 966 high schools and 77 colleges in the state of Virginia, only 150 programs were selected for this list.

Fishburne Military School Honors Alumnus and Instructor

The flags Fishburne Military School bore additional significance on Monday. The flag above the FMS front parapet was originally presented at the funeral of Mr. William Case Parker, FMS Class of 1938, who passed away July 1st. All flags were flown at half-staff in honor of FMS Bandmaster and middle-school instructor, MAJ Roger Wells (VA), who passed away on July 23rd.

Fishburne Military School Senior Army Instructor, LTC Robert Hunt, USA(Ret.), noted, “this is a tremendous opportunity for Cadets to grow stronger in their leadership skills while exploring new challenges and intermingling with students from other programs. Fishburne Military School Presents Spring Athletics Awards

Waynesboro, VA — Three times each school year the Fishburne Military School Caissons come together in Lawton Chapel to celebrate the successes of their athletic teams and to recognize individual efforts and achievements. The awards presentations are then followed by a special dinner prepared for the athletes.

Fishburne Military School Announces $4.5M Hitt-Millar Field House

Fishburne Military School officially announces that the school will begin construction of the Hitt-Millar Field House no later than August of 2018. The 23,000 square-foot, $4.5M facility is expected to be completed in August of 2019. The project was made possible through generous donations from the Hitt and Millar family.

Fishburne Military School was honored to host members of the Virginia State delegation this morning as part of the Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce event “Legislative Wrap Up”. Senator Emmett Hanger along with Delegates Steve Landes, Dickie Bell and Ben Cline briefed those assembled and fielded questions.

Fishburne Military School Color Guard to Appear at Orioles Game

Waynesboro, VA — The Fishburne Military School Color Guard has been honored with an invitation by the Baltimore Orioles to perform this Sunday during the National Anthem as the O’s face the Detroit Tigers at Camden Yards (1:05pm EST). … “Being invited to perform on a stage like this is certainly a testament to our young men’s skill and professionalism.”

Fishburne Government Classes Hit the Road

Waynesboro, VA — Fishburne Military School’s Government classes have begun the final set of field trips for their course. Throughout the year, the Cadets and their instructors have been travelling throughout the state in order to learn first-hand about the history and workings of Virginia and US Government.
