Caissons Baseball Keeps Rolling

The game started slowly as the Caissons scored 1 run early to take a 1 – 0 lead. Then MMA answered with a run of their own to tie the score 1 – 1 and it stayed that way for a while. Then the Caissons put up 2 more runs to take a 3 – 1 lead. But, unlike last week, the Caissons could not deliver the knock-out blow.

FMS Golf Ranked in Top 5 in State

Word came this week that the Fishburne Military School golf team is now ranked among the top five teams in Virginia. This top-5 ranking is the best of any varsity sport at Fishburne within the past 20 years, according to the FMS Athletic Director, Msgt Mike Anson.

Fishburne Baseball On A Streak

This game comes after the Caissons have won their last 2 games by a combined score of 47 – 9. So, after 2 big wins in a row the team’s confidence was rising fast. They have started to really gel as a team over the past weeks and things are going well.

Fishburne Baseball Crushes Massanutten

Last night, the Caissons Baseball team travelled to Woodstock to take on Rival MMA. Coming off of last week’s big win at Blue Ridge, Fishburne was ready to go. And go they did!

In the first inning the Caissons attacked the ball at the plate putting up 4 runs. MMA did answer in the bottom half of the 1st inning scoring 3 runs on a Walk, a hit batter, and then a home run.

Caissons Golf Team at 2-0

Nick Fedchock and Matthew Manos were the low medalist of the tournament both shooting a 1 over par 37. Foster Evans came in with a 47 while Reid D’Amico rounded out the top for with a 51. Next match will be Tuesday at Waynesboro Country Club against Liberty Christian Academy and Blue Ridge School.

Fishburne Baseball defeats Blue Ridge School

Last night saw the Caissons travel to St. George and take on the Barons of the Blue Ridge School. This was a very important match-up within the VIC. Our team has set making the VIC Tournament this year as their goal after not getting into the tourney the past several years. Another VIC loss would truly hurt the team’s chances of getting to that goal.

Caissons Baseball Off to Winning Start

Last night, the Caissons Baseball team took to the field for its 3rd, Season opener (first 2 snowed out). They travelled to Lynchburg to take on Holy Cross who had the on-field edge having already played 4 games. Because of weather, this was the first time the Caissons would put its starting 9 all on the field at one time as a team.

First-ever Winter Running Club Shows Grit

The inaugural Winter Running Club was suggested to me by some of the veteran cross country runners who wanted to continue their training to improve conditioning in preparation for track and field. They took ownership of their training, which is really a crucial prerequisite to excel in distance running.

Swimmers, Basketball players and Wrestlers all gathered in the Fishburne Military School chapel as each sport’s coach rose to recognize the accomplishments of their teams and individual, stand-out athletes.

Fishburne PGs look to build on national-tourney run

Two losses in overtime. Another by a single point. Two others by two points. Another by five. A basket here, a defensive stop there, and the most successful season in the four-year history of Fishburne Military School’s postgrad program gets that much more interesting.
