Fishburne ranked second in national PG basketball poll
Fishburne Military School’s postgrad basketball team is ranked #2 in the Dec. 2 NextUp Recruits national PG basketball poll. FMS (9-1) swept three games at the Nov. 15-17 Kiski School National Prep Tourney and two games at the Nov. 22-23 NERR Prep Showcase, including a 74-69 overtime win over #6 New Hampton on Nov. 23.

The Fishburne Military School postgraduate basketball team swept the weekend at the Kiski School (Pa.) National Prep Tourney. The Caissons defeated Propel Charter (Pa.) 108-23 on Friday, Rise Academy (N.C.) 67-45 on Saturday and the home team Kiski School 67-65 on Sunday.

Fishburne Military School postgrad basketball coach Ed Huckaby thinks for a minute, and then it hits him who Chris Wray (6’7”, 175, Shelby, N.C.) reminds him of. “The Plastic Man, Stacy Augmon,” Huckaby said, referencing the former UNLV star and long-time NBA veteran known for his defense and all-around game.

Mo Sallah came to the U.S. from his native Gambia four years ago as a soccer player never having played basketball. The 6’8”, 205-pounder at Fishburne Military School is now a Division I recruit, signing his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday with Mount St. Mary’s.

Six down, eight to go. That’s Fishburne Military School postgrad basketball coach Ed Huckaby’s mission after National Signing Day, which saw six Caissons sign National Letters of Intent. Jabari Craig (Southern Cal) and Tre’ Harris (Kansas State) had already announced their commitments last month. Craig and Harris signed their NLIs on Wednesday, and were joined by teammates Jordan Tyson (St. Bonaventure), Lamell Washington (Maryland-Baltimore County) and Chris Wray and Mo Sallah (Mount St. Mary’s).
