Fishburne Military School XC Staying Strong
Senior Hunter Jennings paced the team with a medal-winning, sixth-place finish in a field of 118 runners. Senior captain James Wright missed a medal by one spot with an 11th place finish. Sophomore Solomon Adams finished 19th overall.

The Caissons went into Friday’s game against Randolph Macon 0 and 3, but you wouldn’t have thought that watching the first quarter.
The game started with the Yellow Jackets taking over at the 20. After a first down they were forced to punt. The Caissons took full advantage as Quarterback Tyler Braun led an efficient drive that resulted in a Quesan Napier rushing touchdown.

On Friday at the Presbyterian Home Course hosted by Virginia Episcopal School, the Caisson Cross Country team improved to 3-0 in dual meets this season. Fishburne defeated EC Glass (Lynchburg City School) 18-42 and shut out conference foe Virginia Episcopal School (VES) 15-48.

The ability to push physical limits is a common skill for FMS runners, one that coach Woods has helped to instill, “At cross country camp we really put in the work, doing two-a-days isn’t always fun but in order to get better you have to push past your comfort zone.”

The Fishburne Military School postgrad basketball team, coming off back-to-back appearances in the National Prep Championships, will be returning to New Haven, Conn., in November to begin its bid for a third straight national-tourney run.

Twelve cadets from Fishburne Military School attended JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (Summer Camp) at the State Military Reservation at Virginia Beach, Virginia from 15-20 June 2014. Overall, 250 JROTC Cadets from Virginia and North Carolina participated in this year’s camp.
