Fishburne Military School Lacrosse Is Packing On The Pounds
The Fishburne Military School Lacrosse Team has almost reached the half-way point in their Winter Lift-a-Thon and the pounds are piling up. Yesterday, 7 members of the team attacked the bench-press and racked up over 1100 pounds lifted. If you are interested in supporting FMS LAX by sponsoring a lifter, it is not too late! The Fishburne Military School (VA) wrestling team was up, dressed, and on the road at 8 am Friday for a 5-hour ride to Ritchie County, WV for a 2-day duals tournament where they would wrestle 9 matches between Friday night (4 matches) and all day Saturday (5 matches).

Kiski jumped out to an early 10-point lead, but a 14-1 Fishburne run gave the Caissons the lead at the half, and FMS maintained a safe lead in the final 20 minutes in posting a 92-84 win Thursday night in the Best Western Caisson Shootout.

The Caissons were led by MaxPreps Player of the Game Dominic Hollins, a senior forward from Ettrick, VA, who was a dominant force inside in a hostile environment. Waynesboro’s own Qua’Sean Napier, team captain Kian Tate, and junior forward Treavor Norman added to a balanced effort with 15, 10, and 7 points of their own.

The Caissons defense set the tone early and often, holding the Warriors to singel digit scoring in each of the first three quarters, including a first quarter score of 16-4. Alexandria’s Jordan Jake, a junior and varsity captain, was named the MaxPreps Player of the Game for his 15 points and rebounding effort.
