Fishburne Military School Hosts Cross Country Invitational

The Caisson XC team continued to show improvement at our home meet at Coyner Springs Park, placing 4th of 11 teams while topping VIC rivals North Cross, Blue Ridge and Eastern Mennonite as well as Massanutten Military Academy. The Caissons were just 4 points behind VIC rival Miller School.

Fishburne Cross Country Looking Strong

The Fishburne Military School Cross Country runners traveled to Covenant School yesterday for the Covenant School Invitational 5K. Seventh grader Elijah Jackson (Warsaw, VA) took second place in the JV race which was 3K in length. He posted a time of 11:43 which had a 6:31 per mile pace.

Fishburne Military School’s Caissons played against Massanutten Military School’s Colonels Friday afternoon at Fishburne. The Caissons won 72-0, which puts them at 2-1 for the season thus far.

Fishburne Cross Country Resilient in Heat

Brutal heat on Saturday could not stop the Fishburne Military School Cross Country runners. In the Varsity race, the Caissons bested VIC conference rival Eastern Mennonite. Tyler Long (Beavercreek, OH) scored first for the Caissons, finishing 36 of 107 runners. He was followed by Alexander Isaacs (Reston, VA) in 50th place and freshman Garrett Rose (Columbus, IN) in 74th place.

Fishburne Military School Football Wins Home Opener

The Fishburne Military School Caissons first scored on a strip sack by senior Bo Branham that was recovered by fellow senior Jacob Randall and returned 82 yards for the Caissons first touchdown. A blocked PAT and an ensuing Grace touchdown resulted in a halftime score of 7-6 in favor of the Warriors.

Soccer Opens Season at Home

The Caissons Soccer Team opened their season yesterday with a game against Hargrave. The Caissons showed early promise and scored two impressive goals in the first half. Although the they would eventually fall to their opponents the Caissons kept their heads up and played with pride.

Football Shakes Off Rust in 3-Way Scrimmage

Waynesboro, VA — The Fishburne Military School Caissons went to work on Saturday in a three-way scrimmage with Virginia Episcopal School and St. Anne’s Belfield. Fishburne Honors Spring Athletes

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the Fishburne Military School Caissons gather in Lawton Chapel to recognize each team’s stand-outs and stalwarts. FMS Athletic Director, MAJ Bryan Greene, served as master of ceremonies and praised the Cadets for their “stick-to-it-iveness”. Cadet Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, VA) earned the James Hogg Award for his efforts in Soccer and Track.

Versatility, Depth Propel Fishburne Baseball to Victory

Nothing says spring like the crack of a bat on a baseball. That sound is something that Caissons baseball fans are hearing a lot of these days, as the Fishburne Military School baseball team has outscored its opponents so far this season 179:33. The team, which is 11-3, is looking to finish its season strong and make it into post-season play.

Caissons Track Shines at Eastern Mennonite Meet

Harrisonburg, VA — Fishburne Military School’s Track Team traveled to Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg, VA on Saturday. Four of five field events and all of the relay races went the way of the Caissons. Babacour Sallah-Mohammed continued his outstanding performances this year with wins in the Long Jump (20’1″), the Triple Jump (41’2″), and the High Jump (6′).
