Scoring for FMS were attack-captain Bobby Palermo (Huntingtown, MD) with five goals, midfielder Adam Bowles (Sewickley, PA) with three, midfield-captain James Gallagher (Copiague, NY) and attackman Bryson Overton (Sanford, NC) with one each. Goalies Connor Green (Virginia Beach, VA) and Stacy Wood (Waynesboro, VA) saved six and four nets, respectively.
Saturday, the Caissons traveled to Richmond, VA to play in a tournament of four teams. Their morning match was against a very tough squad from The Steward School. The only scoring was by attack-captain Bobby Palermo with two. Goalies Connor Green and Stacy Wood were kept on their toes with nine and eight saves, respectively. The afternoon match against Fredericksburg Christian was more fruitful. Scoring for Fishburne Military School were attack-captain Bobby Palermo with four, and midfielders Adam Bowles and Christian Towler (Waynesboro, VA) with one each. Goalies Connor Green and Stacy Wood saved four and eight nets, respectively.
On Monday, the Caissons JV Lacrosse squad was supported by Varsity members (Varsity had to use the opposite crosse they normally play) at home on Anderson Field in their third meeting against the local club Augusta Wolves. Scoring were attackmen Bryson Overton with two and Timothy Pack (McLean, VA) with one; midfielders Christian Towler, Adam Bowles, and Daniel Umberger (Jacksonville, FL) each with one; and normally-defensivemen Thaddeus Mitchell (Abingdon, VA) and Michael Masone (Ivy, VA) with one each as well. Goalie Stacy Wood made two saves.
The Caissons will host Hargrave Military Academy on Anderson Field at 4:30pm on Thursday, April 26th.
