Caissons Invited to State Football Playoffs

Congratulations to the Caissons football team, who will play in the semifinal round of the Virginia Independent Schools State Football Playoffs the weekend of November 8-9. 

Opponent and location of game is TBD until Sunday afternoon when will we be able to verify the final regular season standings.  The game will be played Friday night or Saturday afternoon.  If we have the home field advantage and request a Friday afternoon start, our opponent would have to agree to play at that time.

 Following is the situation at the moment: 

 DIVISION III

Four teams in Division III have clinched playoff spots, but there’s plenty of room for all four of them to jockey for position.  Virginia Episcopal, Fishburne Military, North Cross, and Fredericksburg Christian will be our four playoff teams.

 VES can clinch the #1 seed with a win over Christchurch.  North Cross cannot get ahead of Fishburne, no matter what.  But Fredericksburg Christian can if they beat Paul VI and get help from Shores and one of their other defeated teams.  FCS and North Cross are going to finish *very* close in their rating, but they cannot tie.
