Monday evening, drill teams and staff at Fishburne Military School traveled to downtown Staunton for their annual participation in the Staunton Christmas parade.  For many years Fishburne has maintained its presence in the public eye through participation in parades and ceremonies such as the Staunton Veterans day parade and Christmas parade.

The entire corps participates in the Waynesboro Christmas Parade every year.  At the Staunton parade, a host of schools were represented by their bands, as well as several charity organizations and churches.  Representing Fishburne were the Regulation and Exhibition drill teams who performed impressive shows of military precision in rifle spinning and drill for the crowds lining the streets of downtown Staunton.  Also attending were the Fishburne Military School color guard, and the FMS Battalion Staff, led by the battalion commander, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Jung.  The color guard was led by Cadet Sergeant First Class Weigand, the Regulation drill team was led by Cadet Captain Pinner, and the exhibition drill team was led by Cadet First Lieutenant Thomas.

On Saturday, December first, the entire corps will form up and march through the town of Waynesboro as part of the town’s annual Christmas Parade.  This parade is one of the only times the Fishburne Corps of Cadets performs publicly for the town, and every preparation is made to ensure the corps is looking as sharp as possible for the debut of the 2012-2013 corps to the public and to the residents of Waynesboro, Virginia. The Waynesboro Christmas Parade will begin at 7pm.
