An Exciting Beginning for Fishburne’s PGs

What potential indeed! Fishburne’s Board of Directors got a special treat this afternoon during the first day of their weekend visit. FMS faculty, staff, students and members of the press were also present for an introduction to the players and coaches that that make-up our Post-Graduate Basketball Team. The Fishburne gymnasium was electric as we watched the team scrimmage for the first time. Today was a great occasion for the School… history in the making.

ESPN Radio 840 (Charlottesville) arrived early for our Media Day event and performed a live broadcast from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Kyle Hanni, Mike Tingle & Jess Shifflett did a fantastic job detailing the upcoming local basketball season (and talked a little football, of course). Coach Ed Huckaby, FMS Admissions Director Brock Selkow, and Cadet Khalil Murphy, the PG Team Captain, each had the opportunity to discuss Fishburne’s outlook on live radio. We are especially grateful to ESPN Radio 840 for spending the afternoon with us. Their broadcast team is obviously very tapped into the local sports scene. When it becomes available we’ll post the audio/video from today’s on-air interviews.
