Alassane Kah: Dream come true

Alassane Kah had a tough choice to make – with offers from the likes of Richmond, Rhode Island and Delaware, among others, to mull over.

But he was sold on Western Kentucky on his visit.

“It’s a great place for basketball. People there just showed me much love. I bonded well with the team when I visited. The chemistry, the offense – they play my style, they run up and down the floor. It was a great choice for me,” said Kah, a 6’9″ forward from Senegal by way of Columbus, Ohio, who signed with the Hilltoppers on Wednesday.

WKU coach Ray Harper is high on what Kah will bring with him next year.

“We are so excited about Alassane and his potential. He is an unbelievable athlete and a great kid, and he is a perfect fit for what we were looking for. He will fit in nicely here at WKU, and I know that he is excited to join the program and get to work. We could not be more pleased that Alassane is going to be a Hilltopper,” Harper said.

Kah is just as high on WKU.

“This means a lot. It’s a dream come true. Since I started playing basketball, I wanted to play big-time D1 basketball. This a dream come true. I’m very happy about this day,” Kah said.
