IT Fundamentals and Technology Skills
(aligned with Cambridge IGCSE ICT, IGCSE Computer Science and CompTIA IT Fundamentals)
This is a basic technology course designed to develop a strong foundation in the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in future technology classes. Scratch, Python, Logo, and TI BASIC programming languages are used in this course. Students also learn to disassemble and assemble a PC in this course along with using a variety of virtual machines, etc. Students learn how to install and configure various operating systems. Windows and Linux operating systems are emphasized. Students also make use of the Raspberry Pi and QEMU Raspberry Pi emulator in their studies.
