Every member of the Fishburne line up had at least one hit. This, coupled with Treavor Norman’s 14 strike outs (71 strikeouts on the season) and 4-4 performance at the plate proved to be too much for Hargrave (which had previously been batting over .400) to withstand.

Fishburne Military School Cadet Logan Amico, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Amico of Pittsgrove, NJ, was honored Tuesday as this year’s winner of the Staunton (VA) Rotary Club’s Code of Ethics Award. “This is particularly nice,” Amico noted, “because it comes from my class and it tells me that they respect me as an honorable person.” The Class of 2015 overwhelming voted for Amico.

“These types of trips are crucial to a healthy STEM initiative,” noted FMS Superintendent COL Gary Morrison (VA), FMS Class of 1981, “being able to see such amazing technology up close and having the opportunity to meet the people to who developed and built it is something these young men will never forget. These are the kinds of educational experiences that spark the imagination and lead to a lifetime of learning.”

Grant Miezis got the win for Fishburne, allowing three runs over seven innings. He struck out seven, walked one, and surrendered three hits. The Caissons will be back in action on Thursday as the now 6-2 Caissons (5-2 VIC) travel to Roanoke to take on North Cross.

There were smiling faces of all ages at William Perry Elementary School’s library yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Tracy Gunn, the school librarian, had a very special treat for her kindergartners. She had invited Cadets from Fishburne Military School to come spend reading time with them.

The distance runners gave the Caissons the most points in the meet. Hunter Jennings (senior; Riva, MD) took first place in the 1600m race with a time of 5:14 and James Wright (senior; Seattle, WA) won the 3200m race with a time of 11:40.

Fishburne Military School’s Baseball team jumped out to an early lead on Blue Ridge School and captured a 19-7 victory on Monday in St. George, VA. Fourteen runs in the first three innings allowed the Caissons from Waynesboro, VA to put the game away early.

The Fishburne Military School (VA) Caissons demonstrated both skill and youth in Thursday’s victory over Stuart Hall. While Senior golfer Reid D’Amico (Pittsburgh, PA) led the team with a score of 42, Freshman Morgan Lilly (Chesterfield, VA) was hot on his heels, turning in an impressive 44 on the day.

Fishburne Military Schools (VA) Treavor Norman (Waynesboro, VA) pitched a no-hitter in Friday’s 5-0 victory over Carlisle. The Fishburne offense used the last 3 innings to rack up 5 runs on Carlisle, improving to 3-2 on the season.
