Fishburne Military School Cadets Earn Spot in National Academic Bowl

The Caissons, led by Cadet James Wright of Seattle, Washington, is one of only 15 teams from 4th Brigade’s 316 schools advancing to this National Championship round. “This is a great testament to the strength of Fishburne’s programs,” noted team advisor and Senior Army Instructor, LTC Robert A. Hunt USA(ret), “and highlights the work ethic and talent level of our young men.”

K-State lands Tre’ Harris

Fishburne Military School guard Tre’ Harris made it official on Wednesday. After committing last month to Kansas State, Harris (6’5”, 180, Glen Carbon, Ill.) signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Wildcats and coach Bruce Weber.

The first thing going through the mind of Teven Jones as he climbed the ladder to take his snip at the net being cut down to mark UVa.’s first outright regular-season ACC championship since 1981: “Don’t fall down.” It started to sink in quickly, though, what Jones, a 2012 alum of the Fishburne Military School postgraduate basketball program, and his teammates had been able to accomplish.

Fishburne falls, 62-59, to Northfield Mount Hermon in National Prep Championships

Down 11 with 5:44 to go, Fishburne stormed back with a 16-5 run to tie defending national champion Northfield Mount Hermon with 1:03 left, but an AJ Brodeur layup with 47 seconds left gave NMH the lead for good in an eventual 62-59 final in the quarterfinal round of the National Prep Championships on Tuesday in New Haven, Conn.
