Caissons Baseball Off to Winning Start

Last night, the Caissons Baseball team took to the field for its 3rd, Season opener (first 2 snowed out). They travelled to Lynchburg to take on Holy Cross who had the on-field edge having already played 4 games. Because of weather, this was the first time the Caissons would put its starting 9 all on the field at one time as a team.

Edenton NC Social a Smash

On Saturday, March 23, Lin (FMS ’56) and Amelia Bond opened their home in Edenton, NC, to nearly 30 guests for a Saturday afternoon Fishburne BBQ. Attendees were treated to fried chicken and good ole NC BBQ with all the sides and desserts – all of which Amelia prepared herself in their beautiful, country farmhouse which has been in the Bond family since 1862. After enjoying lunch, fellowship and some good laughs, the alumni had an opportunity to get an update on all the happenings at their alma mater from new Superintendent, COL Gary Morrison.

First-ever Winter Running Club Shows Grit

The inaugural Winter Running Club was suggested to me by some of the veteran cross country runners who wanted to continue their training to improve conditioning in preparation for track and field. They took ownership of their training, which is really a crucial prerequisite to excel in distance running.
