“Real Men Bleed” – FMS Sponsors Blood Drive

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Cadets at Fishburne Military School are sending off some gifts that others will truly be thankful to receive.

Fishburne Military School’s M. Frank Wooten chapter of the National Honor Society hosted a fall blood drive today, Wednesday 14 November, from 9am until 2pm. The blood drive, which took place in Fishburne’s Hobby-Hudgins Hall, was in support of the Virginia Blood Services

Caissons roll to 91-45 win over Roanoke College JVs

A 11-2 first-half run gave Fishburne some early breathing room, and a 14-0 run out of the halftime break erased whatever sliver of doubt remained as the Caisson postgrad basketball team finished off the Roanoke College JV team 91-45 Tuesday night.

Fishburne Military School Raiders Win Harrisonburg Meet

The Fishburne Military School Raiders team took home another 1st Place victory on Saturday when they traveled to Harrisonburg, VA for the Blue Streak Raiders Meet. The Caissons, competing against six other JROTC Raiders teams and ten teams overall, brought yet another trophy home to Waynesboro.

A 30-8 run gave #7 Southern Tech Prep a three-point second-half lead, but #3 Fishburne was able to bounce back down the stretch to post a 64-58 win in the finale of the FMS Holiday Inn Express Tip-Off Challenge on Saturday.

Fishburne threes sink Rise

If a Fishburne player is open, the light is green. “We tell the guys, If you’re open, shoot it. We did that tonight, and had some good open looks,” said FMS postgrad assistant coach Brian Benator after the Caissons drained 13 three-pointers to key a 97-58 win over Rise Academy Friday night on day two of the FMS Holiday Inn Express Tip-Off Challenge.

FMS pays homage to veterans

Veterans serving in war, serving in peace, all have made America safe. “The peacetime veteran serves to deter aggression, a role as important as the combat veteran’s sacrifices in fighting aggression,” said Cadet Lt. Col. Jeeyhung Jung, the battalion commander of the Fishburne Military School Corps of Cadets, at the school’s Founders Day/Veterans Day ceremony on Friday.
