Waynesboro, VA — Fishburne Military School was honored to host members of the Virginia State delegation this morning as part of the Greater Augusta Regional
Chamber of Commerce (GARCC) event “Legislative Wrap Up”.
Business leaders and concerned citizens from throughout the area gathered in Fishburne Military School’s Lawton Chapel to discuss and ask questions regarding the overall outcomes of the 2018 Virginia Legislative Session.
Senator Emmett Hanger along with Delegates Steve Landes, Dickie Bell and Ben Cline provided background to those assembled regarding the state budget and other pressing matters of legislation.
GARCC President and CEO Annette Medlin acted as moderator for the event and opened up the floor for questions from the audience once each member of the delegation had an opportunity to provide their highlights of the latest session.
Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built on the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS has been designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation that is accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
