FMS varsity hoops falls to EMHS

Foul trouble and shooting woes put Fishburne into a deep first-half hole, and the varsity Caissons were not able to dig their way out in a 56-40 loss to Eastern Mennonite Thursday night.

A hot first-quarter start by FMS quickly evaporated as Eastern Mennonite raced out to a 31-17 halftime lead.

Tyrone Mason led Fishburne with 12 points. Carson Holder and Alex Namdar added eight points each.

Next up for Fishburne is a home game with Hargrave on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The JV game is slated for 4 p.m., with the varsity game beginning at 5:30 p.m.
