Coach Terry Waters Named VIC Coach of Year

 

Fishburne Military School Wrestling earns 2 gold at Conference Championships. Waynesboro, VA – Fishburne Military School made a statement, for a program of its size, this weekend by taking 2nd place overall and placing 9 wrestlers in the final rounds of the VIC Conference Championships in Roanoke on Saturday.

Senior Tyler Allen (Weyers Cave, VA) and junior Matthew Farrar (Waynesboro, VA) both earned gold medals in the Conference Championships.

Fishburne Coach Terry Waters was named Virginia Independent Conference (VIC) Coach of the Year. Waters, in his second year at the head of Fishburne Military School’s Program, has had a distinguished career that has included successful runs at Riverheads, Fort Defiance and Washington and Lee University.

Fishburne Military School has 14 wrestlers appearing in this year’s State Championships.

When asked about his predictions for the weekend, Waters responds simply, “We will be ready”.
