The relatively new tradition of Parents Winter Weekend began at Fishburne Military School about 10 years ago as a way to have a mid-year celebration of students’ first semester accomplishments.

“Traditionally,” notes FMS Communication Director, Chris Richmond, “February is a dark, cold month referred to as The Dark Ages because it’s dark when you leave your room in the morning, and dark when you get done for the day; so, this Winter Parents Weekend was devised as a kind of “pick me up” for the Corps while providing an opportunity for Parents to meet with their sons’ teachers and administrators.”
