Allen Collects Five Hits As Fishburne Military School Baseball Defeats VES

Tyler Allen (Weyers Cave, VA) gave Virginia Episcopal School fits as he bagged five hits in Fishburne Military School’s 25-1 victory on Thursday. Allen singled in the first,Fishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) Baseball still undefeated singled in the second, doubled in the third, singled in the third, and singled in the fifth.

Fishburne Military School took an early lead when they scored on an error and a double by Nick Broughman in the first inning.

The Caissons then scored 15 runs in the third inning, bringing running in on a single by Matthew Farrar (Waynesboro, VA), a double and a single by Wally Harris (Waynesboro, VA), a single by Nickolas Broughman (Waynesboro, VA), a single by Tyler Dolin (Waynesboro, VA), an error, a groundout by Calen Owens (Fishersville, VA), a single by Allen, a single by Holden Sandridge (Churchville, VA), a single by Timothy Arndt (Fairfax Station, VA), and a walk by Broughman.

Dylan Bell (Staunton, VA) earned the win for Fishburne Military School. He pitched five innings, allowing one run, two hits, striking out 11, and walking zero.

On the day, the Caissons collected 19 hits. Allen, Sandridge, Broughman, and Farrar each collected multiple hits and Broughman and Harris each drove in four runs to lead Fishburne Military School Baseball to another victory.

The Fishburne Military School Caissons will be back in action on Monday, April 17th to face Crosby at Riverheads HS.


Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program.
