Fishburne Military School Cross Country

The Fishburne Military School Cross Country Team is off to another perfect start.

On Friday at the Presbyterian Home Course hosted by Virginia Episcopal School, the Caisson Cross Country team improved to 3-0 in dual meets this season.  Fishburne defeated EC Glass (Lynchburg City School) 18-42 and shut out conference foe Virginia Episcopal School (VES)  15-48.

Senior Hunter Jennings won his second race in a row with a time of 18:42.  Senior James Wright took 2nd place for the second straight meet in a row with a time of 18:50.  Sophomore Solomon Adams finished in 3rd place with a time of 19:21.

Senior Logan Amico finished 5th overall;  Sophomore Doug Marsh came in 7th overall; Senior Jacob Neufeld placed 9th overall; and Brian Draper finished in 11th place.

The Caissons ran their best race of the season thus far on a fast course with 11 new PR’s (personal records) being set:  Wright, Adams, Amico, Newfeld, Draper, Kelley, Wren-Russ, Vaughan, Duffield, Kinnard, and Hancock all set new personal records for the season.

The Caissons return to action next week at St. Anne Bellefield Invitational on Tuesday and Miller School Meet on Friday.

Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program. Boasting a 100% college-acceptance rate for the past 10 consecutive years, FMS has also been designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academics.
