Caissons Wrestling Wins Again!

Caisson Wrestling Rolls to 3rd Win, Improving to 3 – 0 on the season

The Caisson Wrestling team took to the mat again last night in a home match against the Miller School to start a string of ten Virginia Independent Conference matches in a row prior to the VIC Championship tournament. The Team was showing a rather new line-up again last night as it’s getting later in the season and the kids are now settling into their weight classes. So with some new faces, and some in new weight classes, they were ready to start the night against a conference foe here at home.

Once again a nice sized crowd in the gym made for a lot of noise and a lot of excitement. So with that said, I urge you all to come out for the teams last home match on Thursday, 28 Jan. at 4:30 pm, when the Caissons will once again host the Miller School and Randolph-Macon Academy in a tri-match. It means a lot to the team members to see a packed gym cheering them on each night. So please come out and make some noise for the team! The scoring from last night went as followed…

It was a great night for the team and the excitement is building as next week the Caisson Wrestling Team will travel to Blue Ridge on Tuesday to take on Blue Ridge and Covenant. On Thursday they will travel to VES for a Duel Match. As both dates will be very tough challenges for the team.

Make sure you take a minute and tell these kids how proud they make the people at the school for the job they are doing and the hard work they are putting in. For today the team is happy and enjoying the victory but tomorrow we’ll forget it and start to work even harder for the up coming matches.
