Caissons Wrestling Dominates at Home Match

The Caissons Wrestling Team took to the mat Tuesday night for its final match before the Holiday Break.  After being weathered-out on Sat, it had been over a week since competition. Tusday saw the Caissons host their only regular season home match against Randolph Macon Academy (RMA) and rival Massanutten Academy (MA,  formerly known as MMA – Massanutten Military Academy).

Only one word can truly say how the team performed: DOMINATION.

Facing RMA first, in what could have been a very good match, the team was ready, running up a 72 – 12 Win over RMA. The 12 points were from a forfeit and then a loss by Fishburne’s newest wrestler (who has been on the mat for just 3 days). Him taking to the mat already was a win in itself!

The nightcap saw the Caissons take on MA for the first time. One year ago this week the Caissons faced MMA for its final time prior to the name change. OUTCOME not much different. Last year it was an 81 – 0 SMACK DOWN, tonight it was a 78 -0 SMACK DOWN.

Going into break the Caissons are riding a 6-match winning streak and have a record of 6 – 1. After losing the season opener, the Caissons have stepped up and won the next 6 in a row.
