Fishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) Opens Soccer Season with Win over Hargrave.

(Chatham, VA) —  It took 53 minutes but once senior Babcour Sallah-Mohammed (Namibia) finally found the back of the net on an assist from fellow senior Adrian Sullivan (Barrington, RI), the flood gates opened and the Caissons scored five more goals; while only allowing one, in the final 27 minutes to take a 6-1 win over Hargrave.

Sallah-Mohammed finished the game with four goals and an assist and Sullivan added his own goal in the 73rd minute assisted by junior Tyler Long (Beavercreek, OH). Sallah-Mohammed’s assist came on a goal by sophmore Samuel Florimon-Valdez (Uniondale, NY) in the 68th minute. Junior William Goshgarian (Virginia Beach, VA) added an assist and senior goalkeeper Juengwoon Choi (Korea) had 6 saves on 7 shots in the winning effort. Senior Min Chang Kang (Korea), sophomore Teddy Barger (Crozet, VA), and junior Alex Ralston (Nellysford, VA) all made spectacular plays and held the Tigers in check with the rest of the defense to keep Fishburne’s advantage.

The Caissons will begin VIC play on September 8th when they travel to Covenant for a 5 pm kickoff.


Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program. Boasting a 100% college-acceptance rate for the past 10 consecutive years, FMS has also been designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academics. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
