Aly Hudgins: Working to improve

The basketball education that Aly Hudgins got in his year in the Fishburne Military School postgrad program was priceless.

A native of Norway, the 6’6″, 190-pounder who now lives in Tallahassee learned the American game at FMS.

“It helped me both physically and mentally. I grew wider, I grew bigger, I learned how to take care of myself on my own, learned how to be disciplined. All of that is very important,” said Hudgins, who signed with Concord and will play for coach Kent McBride for the Mountain Lions, who finished 17-12 in its 2011-2012 season.

Hudgins will be busy this spring and summer working to improve his game from the foundation that he picked up at Fishburne last year.

“I’ve just got to keep working – keep working over the summer. Summertime is when people become better players. That’s an important time,” Hudgins said.
